Time Strategies for Less Stress

The first article that I read was The Myth of "Too Busy" by Tim Grahl. I found some of it very useful but also found his attitude towards life a bit too serious. When he said "If an activity is not significantly helping me towards my goals—whether that goal is selling books or having a good relationship with my wife—then it gets cut out of my life. End of story." I found this a bit sad to be honest, so many things we do as humans don't help us towards whatever our goal is but it doesn't mean we don't enjoy them moments. I do definitely agree with certain things he says like going to bed an hour or two earlier to wake up earlier so you can be productive though and I will try and include this in my schedule this semester.

The second article that I read was Four Questions to Help you Overcome Procrastination by Peter Banerjea. I found this one way more helpful and interesting. It was quick and straight to the point with good tips on how to avoid procrastinating and I can see myself coming back to this one if I'm feeling overwhelmed by an assignment.

Overall there are some really good tips in both of these articles that I can try out this semester when it comes to planning my workload.

Last semester travelling to and from college really had a negative impact on my work. It was really hard to finish college at 6pm some days because travelling home would get me there for about 8pm. It was difficult to motivate myself after a long day so I think working from home may have some benefits on my work. It will be easier to manage my time knowing there is no travelling involved.
